Terms of Service — Poster
By using a deployed instance of Poster, you agree to the terms below. This is not legal advice; the site operator may supplement these terms separately.
Service operator contact: set POSTER_CONTACT_EMAIL in .env, or contact the administrator of this Poster instance.
1. The service
Poster is software that helps you upload video to VKontakte and, if you choose, to YouTube using official APIs. What works in practice depends on the operator’s configuration and whether VK and Google grant the required permissions to your OAuth applications.
2. Account and access
The Poster web interface is typically not locked behind its own login; the server operator is responsible for access control (HTTPS, reverse-proxy auth, VPN, IP restrictions, etc.). Do not expose Poster publicly without protection.
3. Content and legality
You are solely responsible for uploaded material: copyright, third-party personal data, prohibited content, laws in your jurisdiction, and VK / YouTube rules. The operator and software authors do not pre-moderate your videos before platforms process them.
4. Platforms
VK and YouTube may reject, restrict, or remove content or block APIs/accounts under their policies. Poster does not guarantee successful publication or processing times.
5. Tokens and security
Connecting VK and YouTube stores tokens on the operator’s server. You must keep application secrets (VK_CLIENT_SECRET, GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET, etc.) confidential. Leaked tokens can allow actions on your behalf on those platforms.
6. Disclaimer
The software is provided “as is.” Continuous operation, fitness for a purpose, or absence of errors are not guaranteed. Liability for indirect damage, data loss, or third-party actions is limited to the fullest extent allowed by applicable law.
7. Changes
The operator may revise these terms; continued use after a new version is published means you accept the updated terms of service.
